Our client a listed-pharmaceutical company and amongst the top 10 largest generic companies globally. They have aggressively grown in most recent years through organic growth and mergers & acquisitions. Their Japan office has grown over 5x in size in the past two years and they intend to continue to grow. Most recently, they have decided to merge with a well-known Japanese company 10x their size. With this growth, they have partnered with us to find them a professional in finance & accounting for this M&A.
Report: Direct Reporting to CFO (Parent Company) and Senior Manager (Acquired Company)
Type: 6-month contract (potential conversion to permanent)
Start: May 1st (Actual work can start after GW holidays)
Reason: Interim support for system/operation merger expected in December 2019
Process: Meeting with 2 Finance Managers & CFO (Possibly with HR Manager also)
General accounting at the operational level (understand and check manual journal entry and posting) and conduct closing process by themselves
Managerial reporting including reporting to Parent Company and local management teams e.g., sales flash, monthly performance report, etc.
Cash management including estimation for fund flow.
Detail knowledge for general accounting and needs to be hands-on in operating both general accounting and managerial reporting.
English communication is mandatory.
Experience in leading a team in accounting function for 2-3 staffs
