[About the Company]

Our client a major global Consumer Goods company has opened a new position for an interim 'Finance Manager' in Japan. The Finance Manager will be managing two staff and is responsible for managing the team, monitor, supervise, evaluate and track day to day business activities of Japan market. Must be bilingual and have a strong understanding of JGAAP, SAP, and be hands-on collaborating with the Accounting and Sales team.

Interview process: Finance Director and HR Director (Japan)

Stakeholders/Reporting: Regional CFO & Regional VP

OperationSalary: 3,000-4,000 JPY/hour

  • Yearly Financial Planning, Analysis, Forecast & Budgeting
  • Cross-check General Ledger & Monthly closing prepared by Accounting team
  • Work closely with other departments
  • Consolidation and reporting
  • Record and research all financial information for analysis
  • Oversee budget reports, preparation of budgets, and analysis of budgets
  • Document and interpret complicated financial information for managers, executives, and C-Suite executives
  • Advise on procedure and financial management as well as developing policies
  • Oversee financial reports for stockholders, taxes, regulatory agencies, and other financial groups relating to company finance
  • Audit accounting and finance departmentsForecast and plans according to fiscal needs

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business with an emphasis in Accounting, or a related field
  • Japanese or The U.S. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license would be a plus
  • Previous experience as an accountant, accounting supervisor, or manager
  • Excellent computer skills; experience in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency with accounting software and experience with a software system implementation a plus
  • Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles, and International
  • Financial Reporting Standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations
  • Pays strict attention to detail
  • Ability to manage employees, while multi-tasking large projects
