The role's primary objectives are to enhance sales and brand reputation by creating and executing comprehensive PR strategies for specific key projects. This involves setting clear KPIs aligned with the global and Japanese communication/PR strategies. Additionally, the role involves managing and developing two direct reports responsible for press management and ensuring a deep understanding of the market and business is integrated into all activities.
The ultimate goal is to secure media exposure for the brand's products, new collections, and institutional messages through effective press management and collaboration with external agencies. The Manager will report to the PR Director, who oversees PR projects at both a strategic and project level.
PR Strategy and Execution:
Contribute to sales growth and brand elevation through holistic PR planning and execution.
Develop and manage an annual PR plan with the support of the Director.
Monitor media budgets by channels and categories, providing reports for internal stakeholders.
Propose and manage a PR plan to achieve effective full-funnel results with KPIs across various media formats and channels.
Collaborate with global and local PR/Brand Marketing teams to align with global campaign strategies.
Continuously measure and analyze success metrics, making improvements as necessary.
Work closely with external agencies to maximize opportunities and results.
Keep abreast of industry trends and innovations that can inform brand activation planning.
Create, manage, and expand partnerships with external press, media, tech, and other partners.
Provide positive leadership while actively participating as a motivated team member.
Instill a client-centric marketing focus within the team and company.
Coach junior team members through day-to-day guidance and support.
Proactively engage in cross-functional efforts to drive synergy for the company.
Collaborate with various teams to ensure consistent communication plans and shared goals.
Facilitate internal work streams in partnership with other departments and teams voluntarily.
Required Qualifications/Primary Job Requirements:
5-7 years of holistic marketing experience in luxury Fashion/Jewelry & Watch or beauty brands.
2-3 years of people management/development experience.
Proactive and hands-on attitude, capable of multitasking and taking ownership.
International business experience.
Proficiency in both English and Japanese.
Strong project management skills.
Professional and mature with excellent interpersonal communication.
Strategic thinking combining qualitative and quantitative perspectives.
Strong teamwork and multitasking abilities.
Comfortable working under tight deadlines.
College degree and general PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
