An international energy retailer is looking to bolster its sales force by hiring an experienced B2C sales development manager. This role will have aggressive targets to increase the customer base through partnerships and third-party agencies.
The client is seeking a strong, passionate sales leader to develop and lead the sales efforts for the company. Reporting to the local CEO, this individual will work closely with the senior leadership team to accomplish corporate objectives and to shape the future of the company.
The Manager of Sales Development is responsible for the generation and execution of a comprehensive go to market strategy that maximizes profit and market share across Japan’s expansive geographic footprint and customer and channel segments.
In this role, the Manager of Sales Development is responsible for formulating the sales strategy; identifying and negotiating with strategic sales channel partners, putting in place the organization to deliver the strategy; creating the operating plans to execute against the strategy; devising compensation structures that maximizes profitable sales; working cross-functionally to accomplish the objectives that support the execution of the strategy; and managing the team.
Candidates with a proven track record in building and managing outside sales partnerships, including the ability to identify and negotiate with strategic sales partners. Candidates ideally should have experience with a broad type of sales channels including Channel Partners, Associations, Telemarketing, Field Sales (door-to-door), Affinity Program Sales, and Business Development. A College degree in business or the equivalent experience is preferred. Strong English speaking, reading and writing skills are required.
Computer skills required include MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint and MS Project.
